The Estate at Florentine Gardens Wedding
Chris and Ashley’s The Estate at Florentine Gardens Wedding
The Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale is one of the most sought after wedding venues in North Jersey. If you are a bride getting married in northern New Jersey, there’s a good chance that you’ve heard about it or already visited it for an event. Thanks to its recent and complete renovation, every space in the venue has a brand new look, especially the bridal and groom’s suites downstairs and of course the ballroom, where the couple will spend the majority of time on the day of their wedding.
What makes The Estate at Florentine Gardens different
While there are other venues of similar size and style in the area, what makes this venue special is that it only holds one event at a time. This means that the couple will be freely able to decide on how to set up and use the space, in contrast to “wedding factory” venues that will actually put a restriction on where you can and cannot go while you take photos on site.
Our Tips for Getting the Best Florentine Gardens Wedding Photos
The most popular configuration for having the ceremony at the garden is to face the altar in the garden, but consider switching the direction like Ashley and Chris did for their wedding. Not only will you have more room in the front, you will be closer to your bridesmaids and groomsmen, and this configuration will give the photographers and videographers more room to maneuver around as well.
The newly renovated lobby is an excellent place to utilize. If the weather is too hot or too cold outside, it is the perfect place to do family photos, due to the clean look, even lighting, and close proximity to the cocktail hour and ballroom if it takes immediately after the ceremony.
The venue has a beautiful balcony that overlooks the ballroom. Many brides are tempted to throw their bouquet from there, but it really isn’t that great of an idea. Not only is it a difficult angle to capture both the bride and the single ladies in one shot, you won’t really get to see their reactions from up close, so we definitely recommend that you throw the bouquet from on the dance floor.
Later in the evening during the reception, the garden is literally just out the door, so take five minutes to go outside and get some nice night portraits!
